Visiting Whitby
Whitby is an area which has rose to international fame. Whether you have heard of Whitby for its fish and chips, its links to Dracula or its Goth weekend – there’s something at Whitby for every visitor to enjoy. Visitor attractions include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, the Dracula Experience, great Arcades, the Abbey as well as the 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey. There’s also a lovely beach, as well as numerous boat and fishing trips you can go on.
Many however visit Whitby to experience its winding cobble lanes and its quirky boutique shops. Many of which sell the local jewellery made from Whitby jet. Lunch in the form of freshly caught seafood is also a must.
